We are thrilled to announce Remy Faint's upcoming solo exhibition 'Delineation of a Trace', presenting at The Cube, Mosman Art Gallery from 23 August to 2 November 2025.
Delineation of a Trace is a new installation by contemporary artist Remy Faint that explores the relationship between silhouettes and translucency. At its core is a layered, paper-based construction that forms a fragmented, speculative dialogue between past and present. Through personal references connected to Remy’s Chinese heritage, the work meditates on the lingering presence of materials and memory.
Architectural layers and evocative of veils or curtains serve simultaneously as thresholds and surfaces. Employing paper and silk as both painterly and sculptural foundations, the installation incorporates a diverse range of materials, including ceramic elements and textile assemblages alongside hanging sheets of mulberry paper and semi-transparent layers. These components merge into a shifting, speculative archive—an unfixed constellation of imagined histories and material presences.
