CASSANDRA BIRD is delighted to share Mel O’Callaghan’s participation in Chaillot invites POUSH #4: Heavy Duty, presented at the prestigious Théâtre national de la Danse in Paris on the occasion of Art Basel Paris.
Curated by Yvannoé Kruger, the fourth edition of this dynamic collaboration between Chaillot and POUSH brought together an international group of artists working across performance, installation and the visual arts.
O’Callaghan presented In My Hands The Earth Trembles, continuing her compelling exploration of the human body, endurance, repetition and the transformative potential of physical experience.
Centred on the themes of persistence, resilience and renewal, Heavy Duty created a powerful dialogue between contemporary art and dance, bringing experimental artistic practices into one of Paris’s most significant cultural institutions.
