"CRASH, BANG", Grace Cossington Smith Gallery

Tina Havelock Stevens presents in her upcoming solo exhibition "CRASH, BANG" at the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery. Presented by 3:33 Art Projects and Young Curators from Abbotsleigh and Hornsby Girls High School.

 

3:33 Art Projects has created the innovative Young Curators art program to partner with secondary schools. It supports education in the arts and provides unique experiences for the students, the school and the broader community whilst supporting Australian artists.

 

Tina Havelock Stevens is a contemporary artist with a background in documentary filmmaking and as a drummer in rock and post-punk bands. Her practice spans moving and still image, sound, archives, mixed media, social engagement, public art, and text — creating immersive and thought-provoking works. . She produces videos of performance projects and installations along with reworking old family photographs. Students from Abbotsleigh and Hornsby Girls High School worked as a curatorial team to meet Havelock Stevens and select works to present their vision of her art.
